Information for Business Owners

During the testing phase of this site, the benefits to the business community are somewhat limited.  Presently (and in the future) here's what this site offers you:

• Free internet advertising:  Once your business is voted on, your business name, address and phone number will be added to our database.  As this site is part of the www.Englewood-FL.com domain, it is automatically included into our searchable local business database and included into many major search engines through 'web crawling' or 'spidering' (Click here to learn what this means).
• You get a general idea of how the public perceives your business. Now you can know why some customers go somewhere else for the services you offer, and start bringing them into YOUR doors.  The internet gives people the feeling of being anonymous and our voting forms allow them to remain that way if they choose; so they feel more comfortable telling us the truth.

Keep in mind: There Are No Zero Dot Ratings!  No Comment and Not Applicable ratings are not averaged into your rating.

We feel that the majority of the people who will vote here will do it either because they really liked you or not at all, so it's going to take some time to get accurate results in the ranking systems....but you can help by letting your customers know about this site.  While the site is in beta testing, our team of developers are letting people know about this site through 'word of mouth'.  We have also added links from our parent website and submitted this site to various search engines and link databases.  These are slow moving and limited forms of advertising, but it's free.  When the site comes out of beta we are planning a much larger promotional campaign. 

We are developing more advanced resources for the business community once we are done testing.  We believe they will be powerful tools, but will require our team to put in extra time to make them available, so there will be a small subscription fee involved with them.  These tools will include the following:

• Detailed information and comments delivered to an email address you provide.  The voting forms include a space for people to leave comments, but we don't post most comments.  You will be able to see exactly what people are saying.
• Personal information will be passed along to you (if the voter requests it) so you can try to satisfy an unhappy customer or say thanks to a happy one.  When you contact a customer through email, both you and the customer feel more at ease, which may help you to turn an unhappy customer into a loyal client.
• When a customer clicks your business name, it takes them to a web page we designed with a break down of the average ranking (available on all businesses in our database).  For businesses who take advantage of the advanced features we will include a special 'vote for us form'. This advanced form will already have your business name entered into it (saving the user time and making it easier to submit, therefore making it more likely that you will be voted on; especially if you give your unique URL to your customers). We will offer the basic voting form with just the information we need; and, if you would like, we can offer a more advanced form if you'd like more information from the voters.
